Sammendrag
Cultural studies tend to refer to interview methods as face-to-face-interaction situations only. However, the increasing impact of technology on people's communication habits raises important questions for students and researchers. These issues need to be taken into account before considering the pros and cons of different interview methods. The article addresses the importance of including the telephone interview as an alternative qualitative research method within cultural studies. This is necessary not only for the acknowledgement of the telephone interview as a qualitative research method, but also serves to highlight the need for a general awareness regarding the choice and use of different interview methods within cultural studies.
