Sammendrag

This article describes how students in the upper secondary school worked with and experienced fieldwork as an assignment in RE. The students were sent out to explore a religious group or a religion-like phenomenon. They presented their experiences in class and wrote a reflection log. My experience is that fieldwork at the start of the school year is a good way to enhance the students' understanding of the purpose of the subject, as well as their curiosity towards religion and religious diversity.
