Abstract

Liberale demokratier forsøker å sikre så mye frihet som mulig for sine borgere. Samtidig jobber de hardt for å bekjempe rasisme, som historisk har vist seg å være en av de mest ødeleggende kreftene i moderne samfunn. Det er ikke alltid mulig å oppnå begge disse mål samtidig, fordi samfunnsborgere kan bruke liberaldemokratiske friheter til å opptre rasistisk. Hva kan samfunn gjøre når to så viktige målsettinger står i konflikt?
