Dette er en antologi som er massiv i både form og innhold. Ved å samle et kobbel av norske idrettssosiologer, har redaktørene tydeligvis hatt et klart mål om å sette sammen boka om ungdom og idrett. Delt opp i bolker som tar for seg ulike sider av dette temaet, viser dens 344 tettskrevne sider med all tydelighet at forskning på ungdoms forhold til idrett - og andres tilrettelegging for det - medfører en betydelig samfunnsinnsikt.
