In light of this, the work of Eilert Sundt is discussed in which he utilises the material in order to analyse tradition as opposed to modernism. Towards the end of the century, attention is directed towards Lorenz Dietrichson whose aim, via aesthetics or taste, is to educate his fellow citizens.
