Temaet for dette nummeret av Sosiologi i dag er Europa og europeisering. I samfunnsforskning og dagligtale er europeisering et begrep som retter oppmerksomheten mot en rekke ulike endringsprosesser og fenomen. I stort dreier det seg om hvordan Europa og 'det europeiske' påvirker og påvirkes.
