Sammendrag
8. januar 2007 holdt daværende forsvarsminister Anne-Grete Strøm-Erichsen sin årstale om det norske forsvaret i Oslo Militære Samfund (Strøm-Erichsen 2007a). Talen dette året ble lagt spesielt merke til på grunn av sluttpoenget der ministeren tok opp spørsmålet om kvinners underrepresentasjon i forsvaret. I talen utfordret Strøm-Erichsen forsamlingen til å debattere forslaget om innføring av obligatorisk militærtjeneste for kvinner.Denne artikkelen ser nærmere på argumentene forsvarsministeren la fram i talen sin. Hva slags typer likestilling vil man oppnå ved å øke kvinneandelen i det norske forsvaret? Og hvordan relateres disse ulike formene for likestilling seg til nye militære utfordringer?
